2001 10-29 - Poetry - Poetic Victory

Victory in this poety contest - to know more about the battle/nature of early poetry see "Homer - The Poetry and the Past" by Andrew Ford (p. 26 footnote 32) Can this tradition be clearly seen in today's rap? What are the theoretical roots of rap? They seem to pay much due respect to ancient Greek poetry... oddly enough.
